Daddy's First Day Going Back to Work

Last Friday was Andy's first day leaving Carter to go back to work. We took a few pictures to document the event. We were waiting for Carter to start crying when Daddy left....but that never happened...

Carter's Personality

Carter is turning 2 months old this week. We can't believe he's already been a part of our lives for this long! I don't know what we'd do with out him. He's added so much joy in our lives. Over the past few weeks he's begun to smile and has attempted to laugh. We've posted some pics of him smiling, which he's doing a lot more. I can't get enough of it, even if it is at 2am sometimes. Carter also met Baby Bennett for the first time last weekend. They are going to be quite the pair as they spend more and more time together. Hopefully they don't break too many girl's hearts.

Carter's Baptism

Carter was baptized on Valentine's Day at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Here are a couple pictures we have so far. We'll be getting more pictures that were taken by Ferrel Photography in the coming weeks! We were grateful to be surrounded by so many friends and family for his baptism.

Gramps and GG come to visit

Carter has been spending the week with his Great Gramps and GG this week. They've had an eventful week that we haven't really documented. They went on a ferry ride to Bremerton, went to Ruth's Chris's, went to Leavenworth and just had grandparent time with the little guy!

Carter had his very first outing to mom's favorite restaurant on Thursday night! He was such a a good baby and all the ladies there loved him.

Bennett Forester Jones

Happy Birthday Bennett! Tonight I met Bennett for the first time. He is the tiniest little guy I have ever seen. Mom, Dad, and Baby are doing well. Hopefully we will get to see them this weekend so Carter and Bennett can meet for the first time since they are going to be little BFF's.

Bennett Has Finally Arrived

Bennett Forester Jones was born last night at 9:48pm via C section. He weighed 6lbs 4oz. Both mom and baby are healthy and doing well! I will post some pics as soon as I have some! Congratulations to the Jones family!!!! I'm sure Lola is going to be estastic when you guys finally get home.

Almost Happy Birthday!

Amy and Brent, great friends of ours, are on their way to the hospital to have Baby J! She's 4 days overdue and her Dr. wants to induce her this evening! We can't wait to meet their new little guy...He's going to be one of the cutest babies I've ever seen!!! I think the best thing about Ames having her baby soon is that I FINALLY will get to know what they named him...I'm betting on Caden... Happy almost birthday Baby J! We can't wait....

Sorry It's Been So Long!

Andy and I have been horrible about keeping up our blog on Carter. I am going to try and do a better job at it...I promise!! What's new: Carter had his one month check-up on January 23rd. His stats are amazing. He weighed 9lbs 7 oz and was 22 inches long. He definitely is putting on weight. We went back to the dr's a week later because we thought he had a rash on his head...turns out our poor baby has baby acne. So sad...that dr's appointment was exactly one week later and they weighed him again and he was already at 10lbs 2oz. I think I have a good milk supply and this baby loves to eat!! Carter's Uncle Matt and Steph came out to visit the weekend of January 30th. It was great to see Matt and meet his girlfriend Steph. She's Italian just like me. :) It was also wonderful they got to finally meet Carter, they were perfect with him...While they were here we took them to Pike's Place on Thursday, which was a first for Carter and Steph. We also visited the first Starbucks and had coffee (Chai for me). Carter started to get grumpy after a few hours so we decided to trek back home and play rummy cubes! Friday, we lounged around and then went and had an "adult" only dinner at the Met. mmmmm....It was delicious, but we sure missed our little guy! Saturday, we went wine tasting and Carter did great. I think he loves the smell of wine. :) They left on Sunday and we were sad to see them go! Hopefully we'll be seeing them again in June when we head out to Indiana. Lastly, I started work again this week. It's been a weird adjustment not being home during the days with Carter, but we are lucky to have dad home taking care of him... Below are pics of Carter around 5 weeks of age (I'm a bad mom and can't remember when I took them...)! Over the next couple of weeks we'll be posting a lot more pics since we will be having lots of family in town from Indiana and we have Carter's baptism on the 14th!
